50NL: trips bvb
This was one of villain's first hands at the table so I was completely readless.
Full Tilt, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter
Hero (BB): $162.10
UTG: $91.25
MP: $50
CO: $50.60
BTN: $50
SB: $48.75
Pre-Flop: 6 2 dealt to Hero (BB)
4 folds, SB calls $0.25, Hero raises to $2, SB calls $1.50
Flop: ($4) 2 2 8 (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $3, SB raises to $13, Hero???
At first I thought there were not that many hands villain can do this for value with, so I thought flatting his c/r and getting it in on the turn was a good idea. On the other hand villain's betsizing makes me think he just wants to get it in. What do you think is best here?

Re: 50NL: trips bvb
I would get it in now considering, as you said, his bet sizing. It would suck for a heart to hit on the turn.

Re: 50NL: trips bvb
I'd jam to charge draws, and get value from slowplayed overpairs. I doubt he has a 2 in his range unless it's A2s or something. 88 is possible, but more likely he has 99-QQ, or a FD. I wouldn't be surprised to see worse pairs or KK AA here also, cause ppl play weird imo.

I wouldnt be so concerned about a heart. I think getting it in on the flop vs calling down doesnt make much difference in EV. But its easier to ship the turn.

I flat...keeps his bluffs in his range (even if the turn is a heart and he bets I get it in...too often it's a bluff that turn one heart like KT or soemthing)

Re: 50NL: trips bvb
I think flatting and clicking it back or 3betting small both have there merits, small 3bet if you think he will jam draws and some air maybe, flatting if not.

Re: 50NL: trips bvb
If we flat, do we still stack off on flush completing turns?
