Do I need to fold the A boms?
Dude was a donk, not quite a nit be super super timmid, was like flatting 2nd set on the river and playing strong hands realy weakly like chek calling etc. I had been picking on him because when I was on the button he was the BB and he was folding every flop apart from top pair hands where he was chek calling chek/chek chek/chek so he was realy easy to play against.
A take it he's always super strong in thsi spot?
Is he ever just playing back at me because I have been bullying him?

Re: Do I need to fold the A boms?
against a super nit i guess i could find a fold. I think i would just flat c/r and see what he does on turn if he slows down at all. but prolly be in sticky spot either way, so it's prolly proper to fold on flop, i could never do it though. I guess if u want to play it simple way just shove the flop which u did, so I don't think it's terrible play we could be ahead bout 1/2 the time here.

Normally no one check raises top pair for half there stack. Especailly straight forward players. Easy fold.

It's close but I don't think I fold even with your read. He could easily be adapting to your game and playing back at you because of your cbets, or playing his overpairs in that way. He is a donk like you said so he can do some strange things.

Close spot, i don't think I would fold. I'm pretty sure he could have flush draws and shit which we beat, although i may be wrong.

"Dude was a donk" and "playing strong hands realy weakly like chek calling etc" and quite some draws he can have. Wtf at folding? Sucks he had the top of his range this time.

Re: Do I need to fold the A boms?
Yeah if you feel like you putting a ton of pressure on him I dont think I can fold, but at ten nl people usually dont adjust well. So the players that let you run over them usually will continue to let them run over them. I but I think with the straight on the board, he is never bluffing here.
Reads and stats are there for a reason, just because you have a great hand, doesnt mean you should automatically assume he is playing back at you. However you do beat jacks through kings. I guess this is a super close spot. I still however think that he thinks he has the best hand and I think you can rule out tptk combos with this check raise.
