I have no idea?
Villiam : 15/10/3 – 204 hands – c/r flop 13%
I can't decide if I want to raise / fold/ call. Is folding the correct option because he has the option to not 3b his higher pp preflop? Or is it terrible? The guy is pretty nitty over 200 hands, so ? I don't know, I felt like I committed murder with folding that..
Seat 1: SweDan ( $50.00 USD )
Seat 2: Tams95 ( $16.25 USD )
Seat 3: allezbarce ( $52.30 USD )
Seat 4: Hero ( $54.45 USD )
Seat 5: Big Duss ( $61.20 USD )
Seat 6: Teffery ( $64.65 USD )
SweDan posts small blind [$0.25 USD].
Tams95 posts big blind [$0.50 USD].
** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to Hero [ As 9d ]
allezbarce folds
Hero raises [$1.75 USD]
Big Duss folds
Teffery folds
SweDan calls [$1.50 USD]
Tams95 folds
** Dealing Flop ** [ 9s, 2d, 6s ]
SweDan checks
Hero bets [$3.00 USD]
SweDan raises [$8.50 USD]
Hero calls [$5.50 USD]
** Dealing Turn ** [ 2h ]
SweDan bets [$17.00 USD]
Hero folds
SweDan wins $17.00 USD
SweDan wins $19.95 USD from main pot

Re: I have no idea?
Please convert the hand, raw hand histories are really nasty to read.
Now I just took 5 minutes to write a post about how calling could be ok on this board but after rereading it I just think this is a fold on the flop. A tight player doesn't have too many 9x type hands in his range here or check/raise this board texture with air. His range is too much crushing or flipping vs you and that will put you in a ton of difficult spots.
Against looser players that are more capable of making some moves postflop and who recognize that it's profitable to chk/raise this flop once in a while with non nutted hands I would call and let them hang themselves on the turn or ship for value, against the nit I feel it's too marginal to continue.

Re: I have no idea?
Could someone explain to me the benefits/drawbacks of c/ring this flop if we are villain with 9x? He would basically be turning his hand into a bluff, but could that be to merge his range for when he is bluffing? If he puts us on 2 overs then he has 70% showdown equity- is this not enough to warrant getting to showdown cheaply? Wouldn't building a pot here oop with 1 pair be -ev? It would be better to lead despite having RP to keep the pot small whilst charging overs?
As for the hand in question here,we can't beat much except FDs and 9x(which I don't know plays like this) so we have to fold

Re: I have no idea?
i dont think opening a9o in mp is profitable as u get into 2 many spots like this and when money goes in when u flop an ace ur likely dominated. As played i'd probably fold on the flop because he's a nit and nit's dont bluff very much

Re: I have no idea?
fold pre for sure, Id fold this hand in the CO also fwiw.
It really depends on the villian wether we can call down here or not, I would possibly fold flop if I didnt think he would get out of line.

Re: I have no idea?
if i call the flop, which i wouldn't vs this player, the turn is super snap call since it is the best card in the deck for us.
