Default A little wacky, but it felt right

Button running about 40/35/2 - and had taken a few gnarly beats the past couple hands and was basically raising anything so I put him on complete air. Small blind had just sat down at the table, but based on about 100 hand sample (not a lot I know) he was fairly nitty, and not aggressive at all (16/8/0).

To be honest, I had no idea where SB villain was, but figured he didn't have FD/set, otherwise he bets out in this position. With the call, put him on maybe an 8 but most likely K10s or Q10s. I wasn't planning on c/ring, but once SB called I thought I could likely take it down with a shove, and even if they do call, I still have 11 outs (I'm including all hearts, since I don't put either on FD). Little did I know...

I would have played a little bit different. You raised preflop in CO button re-raised you so you have to think he has broadways, high suited connectors, pocket pairs ect (the top 15% of hands I would guess). When you see the flop you I think you can put him on at least a Jack. Your hand isnt beating many other straight draws and as a result I think the raise all in is a bit too much.

I would have played the hand by raising preflop. With the button playing that loose I would call with A8s. Then depending on the player I would bet the flop or check and once he bet I would flat call. At the flop you dont have a hand. You have 8 outs to make what could possibly be the 2nd or 3rd best hand. Your hitting your open ended straight draw 31% of the time. So once you hit on the turn you can either bet again (from flop) or bet into him at this point. He has a gut shot draw so he wont hit that but 8-9% of the time on the river. He cant call that and we take down the pot.

Then again, Im a donk. Let me know what you think about this too

Bet pot preflop,
Bet flop 2/3s
Fold to raise.

C/r draws for fold equity heads up not multiway.
