Hey RedJoker I recently got pback into poker after a long hiatus and decided to start back at the bottom. I have watched quite a few videos and have tried to get back on the horse. These are some of my recent stats. I think that part of my problem is I am calling and not folding way too much and just paying people off. I also think that preflop I am really struggling with peoples ranges etc and am sure I am playing PP's etc badly both IP and OOP. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thx

Sry the screenshots are not that great but had no clue what I was really doing lol

Hey bigjimmylea,

Overall your stats look solid but you could start stealing more and looking to play more pots when you're in the CO and particularly OTB.

Your cbet% is on the low side and in micro stakes games you generally want to be cbetting a lot, players will play fit or fold and give up very easily. Your flop vs. raise fold% looks very low. This ties in with the last point; because players are giving up so easily they will very, very frequently have a powerful hand when they do raise and your default should be to fold anything but very strong hands when this happens.

As you start getting more comfortable with 3betting you should look to 3bet more when you're in LP as opposed to the blinds. Being in position gives you a huge advantage and allows you to 3bet light much more effectively.

what would be a good sample size for evaluating stats? i know i have some hands from a few months back which will be very inaccurate of how i play now.

are we looking at the last 10k hand, 50k or 100k?

Anything over 10k is fine for evaluating most stats but there can be variance to it. The largest sample that you feel will give a fair reflection of your game is probably best.

These look pretty good. You could steal more late position, anything under 35% is on the low side.

You're 3betting more from LP then you are from the blinds which is great but you could probably push the ratio even higher.

Your flop cbet% is very healthy, definitely keep that up unless you find players starting to adjust and play back at you. Your turn cbet is also pretty high, be careful that you're not spewing off against calling stations. It should be easier for you to tone down the aggression a little bit and pass in some of the worse spots then it would be for a passive player to start barrelling more.

You seem to be playing more passively from the blinds, this likely means you aren't taking enough stabs at limped pots. Look for more spots to bet out and pick up the dead money.

cheers man thts awesome. i often struggle in limped pots, where i flop for example 2nd pair, bet the flop then just check fold alot of turns, like my hands not strong enuf to bet for value, but to weak to bluff catch and i just find myself check folding.
