Unsure on turn.
$0.25/$0.5 No Limit Holdem
PokerStars
This is the first hand I have ever posted so excuse me if it does not make sense. I want to pick at least one hand from every session I play and get peoples opinions on it. Villains stats are 22/20/3.4.
Did not know what to do on turn he had $24 left after betting $18 on turn.

Re: Unsure on turn.
I don't really see us being good here ever. His pre flop numbers are fairly solid and I think I would prolly flat in SB and 3bet when I have position on villain. As played when he calls cbet the only hand he could have that he's floating imo is AK that we beat. All other hands beat us,AA, KK, AJ,AQ,910s or o if he calls that loose, and i guess even KJ is conceivable. It's possible he saw the check on turn as weakness and bluffed you but i don't think a lot of plrs at these limits float much. So I think the majority of his call flop, bet turn range beats us and we have to fold.

Re: Unsure on turn.
I think you have two choices here either check fold turn or shove. I think alot of this goes back to earlier hands in the game. Like what your image is, how many times previously have you defended your blinds. What do you think his three bet calling range is in ip.
When you check the turn I think alot of time opponents are generally putting you on air or AK and will bet the turn with anything.
So i personally would just shove the turn, and avoid check calling the turning.
I myself am very inexperienced in playing three bet pots from the blinds but against a button opener I usually am just c betting and shoving turn 75 percent of the time. I often get alot of folds on the turn.

yeah that's one way to do it I forgot to mention. Just bet/shove turn and avoid calling. Only problem is like I said in previous post there call 3bet range hits that board awfully well, so not sure I would do it in this spot but def something to consider. It really depends on how often they call 3bets so we can put them on a more specific range, if they're calling every 3bet then range is much wider and a bet/shove turn is more profitable.

Re: Unsure on turn.
i duno if i'd raise, i wud prob jus fold but raising obv depends on the button opening range from that possition and his defend 2 3bet %%%. by 3betting KJ,K10,K9,K8,QJ,Q10,Q9,Q8 etc etc ie hands you dominate wil mostly fold, and hands tht call u will b pairs that fold wen beat and cal wen their crushing you and AK,AQ 1010+ so i dont think u ever get urself in gd situations by 3betting this hand OOP. if hees super loos wen callin 3bets then i wud sometimes 3bet and sumtimes just wait until im in position. so in this hand id fold preflop making the hand alot easier 2 play

Re: Unsure on turn.
Thanks for the opinions. I ended up folding for what its worth. Was never calling it was either all in or fold imo. Thought his turn bet was representing a strong hand and decided discretion was the better option.

You fold KQ to a button open ?
I flat pre flop and ch/c on flop. Sometimes 3betting pre but I prefer to flat.

Re: Unsure on turn.
always 3 betting kq against a button opener flatting against mp/co and folding to utg
It is must easier to play oop in a three bet pot then flat and play oop with out the initative
