Default AQo in sb with 70bb 33$ 15k

forum is pretty dead but nonetheless will post hand
villan here is splashy donk running hot and never folding any hand he opens pre
so his range is very wide . I like pre and would probably 5bet all in vs him.
issue here is this flop hits his three bet flat range but I wanna make money when i
three bet AQo oop and wiff esp cos its heads up so im sure the c bet is fine
but should i bet once and give up?

IP i would fire 2 barrels not so sure what the play is here oop,

chq/f flop?
bet/fold
bet and give up if calling is probably standard

i assume preflop is ok

I don't mtt but I think you're fighting a losing battle when you say you want to make money against him even if you whiff with AQ and this flop hits his 3-bet call range. There's lots of good flops you can c-bet bluff and this definitely isn't one of them. He'll pay you off so much when you hit and he'll fold so much when the flop comes dry K+ high that I would just grit my teeth and giveup here even out of position.

If c-bet is fine then I'd only fire the standard J+ turns. A fish is still going to have the same hand strength on the turn that he called with on the flop and that's the extent of their thought process. They're not worrying about you maybe having an overpair since your line is strong or having to face a big river bet. I think betting an 8d turn is lighting money on fire. Tons of hands have flush, straight draws, two pair, or he still has top pair.

Emphasis on me not mtt'ing though. I feel like every mtt player always c-bets here but I think they also c-bet too much in general. That being said most of my mtt perceptions probably come from watching wsop so take that for what's it worth.

I don't mind c betting flop here, but don't like barreling this turn, too many pairs (77,99,9t,etc) now have straight draws too, and planning on firing 3 streets probably isn't the best vs the villain you described.
