Post Bankroll for MTTs

Recently i've been taking shots at satellites to pretty big mtts like the sunday million on stars, mostly the $3.50 72 man ones but i've also tried a couple $22 ones and came agonisingly close in 3/4 attempts.

I guess my question is what sort of roll requirements do you reckon is acceptable to give this a go most sundays?

Default Re: Bankroll for MTTs

Tbh, im not a big fan of satellites. I think there is big value in satellite tournaments bc the fields are in general a lot weaker, but most of the time you wont have that big of an edge in the majors. I recommend playing the MTTs that your bankroll allows to or getting the tournamentdollars on your account if possible. Imo its much better to stick with the smaller buyins to build your bankroll AND to improve your game, and moving up the higher stakes when you can really afford it. The variance in big field-MTTs is sick anyway, you just increase your swings if u have to get lucky in the satellites also.

To answer your question; You really cant say there is a regular BRM for MTTs, its a big difference if you play the big MTTs with fieldsizes of 5k and more, the 180sngs or the mentioned sats. Even in the satellites, you should know on your own theres an higher variance in playing the 72player $3.5 sats with 1 seat grd. or a $22 buyin, in which every 4th or 5th player will go home with a seat.
My recommendations:
MTT fieldsize Amount of Buyins
<100 75
<500 100
500-2500 150
2500+ 250

its conservative, but good.
