I think if I decided to c/r the turn, it should have been bigger, that was a mistake. Thoughts on all streets welcome.

I'd c/c the turn readless and prob value c/r smallish if the river doesnt bring a flush or 4 straight. If I know he's a good reg i'd prob just c/c all 3.

This early in the tournament I would check/call him all the way and not sweeten up the pot, cause that is a pretty coordinated board there and his min. preflopraise perfectly fits in this flop. If the ace didn't help him ( assuming he had KJ ), he could have simply hit the flop (set) and flatcalled your raise on the turn just to make sure a third club doesn't come on the river...
You could have reraised preflop (best play in my humble opinion, since u decided to play that AQ) and that probably would have saved you a lot of chips...This guy was obviously not going to fold (whatever he had)..so there is no need to waste your chips at this stage..
It's not like I know something about this game but I thought I share my thoughts lol.

hmm yeah this is pretty sick hand

i agree turn raise is too small, it looks super strong no matter what size it is and there's quite a few realistic hands with decent equity so you might as well size it larger for more value

i'd probably just check/call the turn vs a good opponent but vs an unknown in soft field like that raise is good

on the river i think it's a fold, it feels gross but i think he nearly always has it

Thanks for replies guys.

My thinking on the turn was that the Ace was a great card for him to barrel, and also improves his range a fair amount so I thought there was tons of value in a C/R. I also expected to find out right there if I was behind, as I expected KJ and sets to 3bet me a decent amount of the time. Like Jay says there are a bunch of hands with reasonable equity and some of those hands can be in my turn C/R range, so the hands I am behind to should want to protect. Also, they might expect to get value from a hand such as mine (even though I would be folding to a 3bet). If I am behind it's not like I give up a lot of redraw equity by having to fold, as I am drawing dead to AA, 2 outs vs QQ, and 4 vs 33/KJ.

On the river, the flush / GS draws miss, and the board pairs. I vbet and he shoves. There is just 1 combo of A3s, 1 combo each of 33/AA/QQ, 3 of TT. I no longer worry about KJ as he is unlikely to flat turn only to shove river when the board pairs. Some of those hands also seem like unlikely to be minraised from UTG also, but who knows... He might think the 3 is a good bluff card for some reason...

I'll leave results out for a bit in case there is any more discussion!

Cheers.

Oh, lots of people I have asked about this one like C/C the turn. What about leading the turn here, I think that might have some merit?
