Default miniFTOPS #14 late stages, AKss OOP

Hi,

here is the hand that messed up my miniFTOPS adventure.

I got bounced around tables a lot, so could not get any real reads, but in general the players are really spewy, avoiding folding like the plague. This table is no different.

Villain is playing 38/29, 50% VPIP and PFR from UTG, but this is after only 20 hands.

My plan was to 3bet/get it in. Comments?
After he calls and I miss the flop for I try to take it down with a cbet, which I make way to large to make him think I am not folding?

I have a MTT reg friend and he disagrees with me on pretty much everything about this hand. So, what do you all say?

I dont think its horribly played, however i might 3 bet bigger pre, if hes a station I might do something exploitable and even 4.5x however i think oop 3x is the min.
my default on that flop is to bet a third most of the time(ur bet here is to big smells weak) but lately ive been chqing it back and then c/r depending on timing tells etc. c/f the flop isnt bad either. i think we must c/r this hand sometimes to make up for the times that we get raised(ie like this time)
what did he suggest

Friend said

1. dont raise a drawing hand like AKss. call. especially without reads and OOP.
2. you dont want to get it in on a flip vs. these bad players
3. on the flop check call as played. check call or check raise if flatted pre flop.

at which i said:

wat?

dont listen to ur friend

1)LOL@not raising AKs,it has good equity againstevery hand in the deck, low equity against KK and dead to AA by raising we can take the lead making villan play fit or fold (so def raise ip and oop nearly always)
with antes shallow stacks (20-40bb typical tourny stack) AKs is the nuts
2) sure it may be a flip but with blinds and antes we are getting a good price on a flip, we have fold eqquity and ppl get in AQ and AJ against us too so against villan range AKs =NUTS
3)check call i dont like although there is a suited card there i prefer b/f then cr then c/f then c/c in that order.

ps) u cant press every tiny edge in tournys but AKs suited is a monster that u wanna raise and play aggro.
i think u played it fine just ur sizing might need adjusting and intuitvely ull know tailor ur flop action to villan but b/f is prob the defualt

vs this player there is no chance for me to flat pre w AKs^^. If villain would be very tight i might consider it, because he would fold a lot of hands like AQ/AJ if he is good, but against a aggressive donkey theres just to much value in 3-betting pre.
3-bet pre to 26k imo, if he calls, i dont mind check/folding this flop. I dont think he will bet 100% of the time if you check it to him, so u might get a freecard.
