Default If I never found poker....

What would everyone be doing if they were never introduced to the game? It seems most ppl are consumed by it and leads them down a totally different path.

For me, i probably would just watch a lot more tv and play fantasy football and still be really into sports. Since poker i never had much interest in keeping up with that stuff as intense as before.

I'd probably still be working at the same place, but maybe getting closer to a degree (but that's debatable). There's been a few times when i decided not to go to college to focus on poker, but i also really hate college so i may have not gone anyways.

All i know is life would be pretty boring, but less stressful.

I would just be involved in something else that could satisfy my competitive nature, Im just not sure what that would be. I'd like to think I would spend more time restoring my Camaro's. Maybe waste my life on another video game. But after spending 5 years playing Everquest I swore I'd never do that again.

At this point I don't really know what i would be doing. As it is I need to find something to take my mind off of poker, so I'll watch this thread for ideas.

I would still have my 25k, a month ago I staked my friend in high stakes mob run poker game which took place in a club in downtown London. Anyway he lost the 100k and they gave us a week to pay it back. We and i fell on a lucrative opportunity to rob our next door neighbors who were going 2 rob some drug dealers. WE successfully robbed our neighbors but unfortunately they found out it was us and attempted to recover the money, luckily the drug dealers tracked down the neighbors and we got away with the cash. After we payed the mob the money the mob heads got killed by two guys they hired to steal some vintage rifles so we wouldn't of needed to pay up anyway. Unfortunately the debt collector for the mob came by all the money , he did leave us the rifles but we dumped them in the river and after we found they were worth 50k each so we would have got our money back had we not dumped them to destroy the evidence of our robbery.

But seriously I would probably be working in supermarket still and not enjoying life as much and have less freedom overall. I don't think i can accurately picture it but i think i would be less confident and addicted to something less productive like computer games or watch more tv. I also came by The Wire and Fooled by Randomness and The Black Swan through poker so Wouldn't be as informed or got to watch such a good show. Possible that i spent to many nights grindin not enough trying to get ladies but i'm only 21 so i have time

It's really tough to say you know. I got to know of poker from quite an early age (18) and at that time I was studying full time. If I hadn't found the game my life could have been totally different. I'd probably be close to finished with my studies by now as I would have continued to study full time instead of part time. The girlfriend that I had at the time might still be with me as I wouldn't have been that crazy guy who thought he could make money from a card game.
I'd like to think there is some probability that I could have found some successful web-based business venture and pursued it.
I'd probably have travelled a lot less than I currently have. I would have been an alternative version of myself.

I would still have my retarded desk job from 7 30 am to 15 30 pm, arriving at 8 am and leaving at 15 pm to gain 1 hour, occasionally going to the bathroom to jerk off or make out with my boss's daughter or stuff that implies both, pretending I work for a lousy 400$/month, probably end up killing myself or robbing somebody for money or marrying the boss's daughter that would have sucked ass, ty poker, ty leggo.
