Official MMA thread
I see there are a lot of MMA fans here on leggo so why not having a thread about MMA? If there is another one already then close this one and give me the link pls.
So, what do you guys think about BJ Penn, isn't he such a douche that talks crap and got his ass kicked by a kid? How about Anderson Silva? Isn't he unbreakable? He beat Sonnen being injured and proved what big champion he is. How about Strikeforce, isn't this a lame organisation that keeps cracking bets? What are the odds that Fedor, Mousasi and Henderson losing in such a lame style?
The next ufc card is 119, Mir vs Cro Cop, then Bisping vs Akiyama and the Lesnar vs Velasquez. Thoughts?

Re: Official MMA thread
MMA = sweet
Clay Guida is like my new favorite fighter...he's in there to "fight"...not to "build a career"...which is what I like to watch
Chuck, rampage, and tank are probably my 3 other favorite fighters right now.

Re: Official MMA thread
I've met Clay Guida once (basically nothing more than a handshake) and he grew up and think still lives 45 min for me. I met Gina Carano at and hung out with her for two days, my best friend was getting married and his brother was dating her at the time so got to talk to her a lot.
Ok well i'm done name dropping ... anyways I'm a big GSP fan, and a few others i like but no one as much as him probably.

have you ever watched Inside MMA with Bas Rutten?
Chael Sonnen seems to me the typical redneck born to fight. I'm pretty sure if Anderson was fit the fight wouldn't have gone to the 5th round.
What do you think of a potential Anderson Silva vs Vitor Belfort fight. Now that Silva proved in some occasions he is human this fight might be interesting with both fighters being so fast.

Yeah, Clay brings it on but unfortunately for him he can't surpass a level (he lost the fights that were allowing him to become a top contender, vs Huerta, Kenny Florian or Diego Sanchez). Anyways, his fights are fun to watch because of his incredible paste and his long hair jumping all around
What do you think about the lightweight division? It seems that the bully will bully once again Frankie and become the next champion..

At least Gina Carano looks like a girl not like Cyborg. I guess Cyborg can kick her husband ass in no time.
I like GSP aswell, but I miss his early times in the UFC when he was primarely a stand up fighter. I remember when he knocked down Hughes but in the end of the round he was submitted with a lucky armbar. I think the welterweight division is simple, GSP will kick Kockcheck's ass and then win a couple more fight and eventually retire with a 15 wins streak as the biggest welterweight from all times.

I doubt poker players do that because the money is not that much and get your ass kicked everyday

I've had a Krav membership for about 2+ years. My attendance isn't great, but I love what I've learned. MMA is a different skillset, whereas Krav has a lot of streetfight utility, stuff you couldn't do in the ring - eye gouges, nutsack kickage, trachea crushing.
Great idea for a thread, MMA prob my 2nd favorite tv sport now behind NFL.
1 thing that was impressed upon me early in Krav lessons is you shouldn't underestimate a guy's fighting ability based on his appearance. Most of my instructors don't look like much, but are deadly.
