Default Sports betting

Yo guys, Ive been playing on ftp pretty much my entire time of playing online poker. Lately Ive been getting into sports betting NCAA football. I am thinking of switching over to a site that offers sports betting and poker. I have a few reservations though.

Im not too sure how wise it is to have a combined roll for sports betting and poker. Of course at the same time, Im not a pro player it is a hobby and supposed to be about fun right?

I figured if I keep my bets small around 3% of my roll per unit. My losses and wins shouldn't effect my roll that much considering more often then not I am breaking even.

I dont want to get on a site that has software so bad it tilts me.

My positives are: A lot of sites are now offering 25nl heads up, my winrate starting tables and playing heads up is much larger then when playing 6 max, mainly due to my laggy style.
Currently the smallest stakes for heads up at ftp are 50nl, and I have never been rolled large enough and long enough to handle the variance of heads up to give this game an actual shot. Im 99% sure I could crush a 25nl heads up game continually.

I would get a bonus and bigger rake back ftp is currently only offering 27% rake back.

I would have the option of betting on some of my picks through out the week and hopefully have some sort of marginal success considering most of my friends I talk to regularly are have moderate success.

What do you guys think.. should I give it a shot and if so what site would you recommend. Or would you recommend to being patient and holding off till I grind up enough money where I can with drawl a small % of my br to start a new br for sports betting, and keeping the two apart from one another.

I used to play on Players Only and they had sports betting, but they switched from the cake network and i'm not really sure what's changed. I think they have like 35% rakeback now.

You want to have at least 100 units for sports I'd never risk more than 1% on the bet.
Pinnaclesports.com is the best book out there ,I don't know how serious you are but if you want to make profits I'd advise to make accounts at all major books to line shop. This is really crucial. If you don't want to deal with that I'd stick with pinny. I am not sure if it is a good idea to have combined roll I'd rather have it be separate but I am doing it seriously. Pinny offers some sort of poker but I have never played there so tough to say,I'd rather cashout small and start with small units but have 100+ of them and have separate rolls for poker/sports.This is if you think about it in terms of beating both sports/poker if you want to casually fuck around really it doesn't matter too much what you are going to do.

I think that in line of this one, I guess playing a sports betting game is interesting. More interesting is that there are a lot of good things that is happening in the world of sports. Playoffs and good season matchups are gearing up in order to compensate the goods for the fans and for the Sports bookers alike.

The most +ev thing to do is to have a lot of accounts on a lot of betting rooms and always find the biggest odds you can find for the event that you want to bet and hunt down their bonuses, also when trying to compete against each other some bookies make mistakes the problem is that studying offers/odds/matches takes to much time and it's basically not worth betting on a long run if you're a marginal winner at poker. But sometimes there's some matches too good to miss.

My understanding is that sports betting can be very profitable, but you need a ton of captial to make very good money. Edges are small and putting in volume would be very hard. For example if your main game is the EPL, there might only be 2 matches per weekend where you feel like the market is giving you a decent edge... and your expected ROI might only be 10% or so on those games (or less)... so even to make an expected $500 you would need an outlay of $5,000... which means you need a huge bankroll to handle the swings and to actually make good money.

I know a couple of guys who bet sports for a living and they both have much > 6 figure bank rolls, and aren't mucking around with small bets - yet I doubt there actual yearly income is that huge considering the time they spend doing research and the amounts they bet.

For anyone interested in mathematical and statistical analysis of various sports check out skepticalsports.com

I got linked to it a while back on 2p2 and to a sports betting noob like me it is pretty amazing. The author even did like a 20 part series on why Dennis Rodman deserves to be in the HOF (and why it's not close), epic.

It's nice of you to share this one. I have also tried playing Sports Betting for WH and I have won a lot from it. I won from $100 to $11,400. I quit afterwards.
