Default learning PLO

Hello guys,

Playing poker for about 5/6 years now and able to live off it for the last two years. Playing up to 10/20 NLHE and have been doing pretty good. However, I never play PLO. I just graduated so have a bit more time on my hands now. I want to expand my skills and to learn to play PLO.

I'm sure there are guys on leggo who have been in the same situation and have a decent PLO game now. Question: what was your strategy to learn the basics? Read books and watch leggo vids? Or just start playing a lot? Also, are there like good articles/vids about the basics of PLO that you know off?

(did everything a bit when started to learn NLHE, but since it took me like 2/3 years to have somewhat of a reasonable level I look for a more well-thought strategy)

Thanks a lot,
Maarten

Hey Maarten,

Sc000t (leggo plo coach) had a really good reply in this thread about starting out in plo. This was aimed toward someone who may play lower limits but i'm sure the same applies for any limit.
