Default Poker Legislation - Payments System Protection Act

If you haven't seen this before, please take one minute to TAKE ACTION!

Copied from a friend's blog: "If you are an American citizen you need to click this link and fill in your info RIGHT NOW. It will send letters to your senate and house reps stressing your desire for online poker support."

EVERY member with a blog should be hosting this link to get more traffic there. It's a bit bothersome taking ONE MINUTE (OMG!) a second out of your day but it's definitely +EV!!!!

Yeah let's support government regulation, that's always a good thing...
I guess it's a "better kind of government regulation" than what we have now but the goal should be to have government stay the **** out and let the pokersites do their stuff.
I think in the long run this will be horrible for poker.

I think this is a good step. Government will want to regulate the industry and in this instance I don't think its a bad thing. Gov't already highly regulates gambling and letting the gambling industry go unregulated could lead to a lot of corruption and consumer damage.

Only reason there's the whole online poker deposit ban was cuz the gov't wasnt able to tax any of it. Instead of being smart and coming up with a way to regulate it, they decided to just ban it assuming most players that play online would go to the casino now instead where they actually can tax

with the new regulations it should be a good step towards gettin it unbanned
