When should you show a bluff?
a) Never, its never prevelant against any player
b) 1-20% of the time, Its only useful in circumstanes where you can induce a til affect
c) 20+% It is>50 a healthy aspect of loosening up a game that is extremely tight but use it somewhat sparingly
d) As often as possible!!!!!!!!
what are you thoughts on showing your opponent a bluff?

Re: When should you show a bluff?
imo i would go with option b...i guess imo it all depends on how much you bluff in your game. if you bluff a lot i wouldnt show cause most of the time they will be calling stations on you...thats just my opinion though

Re: When should you show a bluff?
against fish who you suspect will tilt because of it
against regs in spots where you are very value heavy and less bluff heavy to throw them off to your frequencies.

Re: When should you show a bluff?
you should show a bluff anytime you believe you'll react to the information better than your opponents (the inforamtion you get is the knowledge that they have that information).
against good players, very rarely, especially if they're more experienced in leveling wars. against weak players, they'll often be level 1 and call you down next time, so just know that is what they're thinking and don't bluff against htem.
i like the show one feature on stars, there is a whole lot of room for misinformation there.

I would agree with what you said 100% although I might also add that i find showing bluffs can in some cases, make your playability much harder in figuring out if someone is applying that information you showed a few hands earlier relevant to the one your playing. For example raising from early position with KQ and getting bumped back by a single tabling standard LAG who is acting on the button. tough to decide to 4 bet out of position or to give credit for a hand with position relevancy in mind.
At the stakes i play 10-25 Cent it seems somewhat profitable to show a bluff to non thinking players provided that information won't stuff up your thought process when getting played back at in marginal spots

Re: When should you show a bluff?
Showing off bluff in this one is really a good thing to read for. I just hope that everything would be good and fine in order for us to really learn a lot in the future. Thanks for these kinds of articles.

Personally I never show bluffs, unless someone has been a dick and I want to piss them off. It definitely can be EV but I don't like to make people feel bad, which is why anytime someone asks what I had, I say I had a good hand, or tell them good fold. Certainly not the most cut throat EV way to play, but for me it's what I like to do.
