Default 3betting affecting your range in single raised pot

I played a reg HU today and this guy hardly ever folded to 3bets. So I started 3betting pretty much anything playable and decent from the top of my range (20%) - problem is that left me unbalanced in single raised pots and reg opened 75% of BTNs and c-bet flop 70% and turn 50%.

In this kind of situation what should I do? Obviously I can slowplay some hands to make his barelling worse but I still feel like he's getting the better of me in single raised pots because I 3B so many good hands.Thing is I'm unsure whether playing tight in the single raised pots and 3B top of range is more +EV than balancing it more so I can attack him in single raised pots too....

This also got me thinking about how 3Betting will affect your flatting range. When we 3B we basically announce to our opponent that our range in a single raised pot is capped. Is this not an issue because we still have some strong hands in our range... on some flops?

Also in terms of deep play is there any merit to just flatting 100% OOP and ch/raising a ton of flops rather than trying to 3B some hands and flat others?

I'd say definite yes to your last point about flatting all hands really deep. It's something I've always personally liked.

For your first point I don't think it matters if you're unbalanced if he's still barreling the same range he would anyways. Just call down or turn made hands into bluffs or sometimes even fold. If he really is raising 75% of hands and always cb'ing 70% flop 50% turn he's the one being exploitable.

If you're getting the better of 3b pots oop and he's getting the better of single raised pots in position then that's something I'm willing to live with and I don't want to rock the boat. Have you thought about not flatting any hands until he adjusts?
