Default Deciding on your calling ranges. In depth ideas

Hi, I hope someone good at theory can help me with this. Say villain opens 13% UTG How do we choose the correct hands to call, fold or 3bet. Some examples would be great. Is there a general rule I can apply to work through a number of opening ranges. My thoughts on 3betting are I would only 3bet AK here AQ is a call and AJ is a 3bet bluff or fold. Assuming im on the button with no callers. My thoughts process is The Ax hands in his range are AJ+ but he would call with AQ possible AJ to a 3bet so its clearly for value. AQ is close because im boarder line to being ahead however being IP allows me to bluff him off lots of flops. AJ has reverse implied odds so I like a 3bet or fold. Am I on the right lines please can someone expand. How can I apply some thought processes to calling. How would it affect my flop strategy.

Thanks
Craig
