Playing 4bet pots Yesterday I was playing someone HU who kept calling my 4bet OOP with all sorts of hands. This player played pretty strange in my opinion because when I raised to 6 he alawys made it 27 (when he 3bets) and when I open to 4 he would make it 20.
Because he was doing this with pretty high frequency I started 4betting him alot. And I think he called almost every single one of my 4bets.
Hands that have gone to showdown/he showed in 4bet pots: 44, Q3o, Q9s, 89o, etc
He did 5bet shove me once so I figured he actually had a hand there...
If he flopt a pair he would C/Shove the flop most of the time, however he also C/Shoved the Q3o on a 449r board. He also folded over 50% of the time to my Cbet (which was a little more than half pot)...
So vs a opponent who calls almost all your 4bets oop.. what hands are you 4betting? I really didn't know what I wanted to do with hands like 77 or KQ/KJ, AJs/ATs.
And how would you play postflop if you, flop a pair, flop no pair, flop a draw.
If you know he's calling all your 4bets, would you make them larger or smaller?
Lots of questions about this because I'll probably be playing this person a lot more because he thinks I'm a donk because I minraise every single btn (mostly because he also raises to 27 often when I make it only 4 preflop, so that has to be so exploitable).
And what hands would you be calling his 3bet with? |
