the trend of really small 4B

I've noticed on stars @ 100NL lately everyone 4Bets really small.

It seems to be to around 20-22bb.. I've also seen 18-19 which is pretty much a 2x..
I think it can be good but only if your range is tight as it induces alot.

The first few times they do it if your OOP you can't really do anything since you don't know how wide their range is.

If at some point you determine their range is wide (how?) then you should start flatting OOP and IP and check/shoving or shoving any equity(pair/fd/gutshot etc) right?

22ish has been the norm for a while if ur in position, OOP u 4bet a bit bigger usually .

18-19bbs would be a new trend and then its just some adjustments that you'd have to make based on their range...

Assuming they have the same 4bet range as they did at the larger 4bet size, maybe we should call 4bet more and ship less often. hmm.. Maybe that's terrible lol. not sure. Any other suggestions?

I don't know about 100nl but with the regs at 50nl I would just 3-bet a range where their 4b wouldn't be profitable unless they weren't 4b'ing enough. If you 3b to get in AK TT+ you can still 3b about 9% and they're breaking even with a 4b to 18bb. I'm sure you can easily add in other hands with some people so you can 3b even more depending on positions and what their 4b range is. Plus you can call more ip. I kind of look at it like what jamesma said about people 3b'ing so much at 200nl. You win a lot of pots but then you're setting yourself up to lose big pots.
