I think what you're saying is that because he potted the flop he likely has a flush or As and then when the board pairs he would check back a flush (or at least make a smaller bet for value). This is pretty flawed given that he can have any combination of flush+2pair/set or simply be b/f a bare two pair or set. Not betting a hand like top set on the flop would be a huge mistake from him. All that said I really doubt he is going to bluff again on the river if he's bluffing turn and you have a strong enough range not to be exploitable by going c/c c/f.
