Default Omaha preflop

I've noticed watching some vids that IP there is a lot more limping behind w/ marginal hands/ good but not great hands. Maybe I'm wrong here? But I was wondering if the gap between VPIP and PFR is bigger than it is in holdem. Cause i know in holdem 6max you pretty much always come in raising. But in omaha i've noticed it's sometimes better just to use positon and get in cheaper? In Omaha is it still better to come in raising or is there a lot more spots to be limping?

VPIP and PFR will def have a wider gap in PLO. In NLHE there usually is a very small gap.

The main reason isn't from open limping, its from calling other open raises. Theres just more of that in PLO for various reasons.

Usually with me, if someome limps in, its almost more of a reason for me to open raise and try to steal the pot/steal position or to isoloate the player. Times I will tighten up though will be if there is a very aggro and/or short stack player still left to act.

I really don't like the idea of open limping in PLO as a regular move. Unless you have a specific reason to I think generally you're much better served to decide on hands that are either open raises or folds. I think I almost never open limp nowadays unless I'm UTG and even then I'm very rarely doing it. I actually play pretty tight UTG compared to other PLO players.

ok thanks, i wasn't talking bout open limping, i was talking limping behind to clarify, but I guess your saying that's even more reason to raise? I remember in Clayton's first Omaha vid he was saying that 3 betting and isolating don't work very well at the lower stakes b/c you don't get enough folds and are usually still multiway going to the flop. I'm not sure if he was referring to just 3bet isoing or isoing in general. Thoughts on that? I guess even multiway it's still ok cause we have position but it sounds like a pretty good concept he had.
