Default PLAYING HU vs FREQUENT PREFLOP 3 BETTORS

Lately Ive been playing PLO, 1-2 and 2-4. Playing HU its very common that after few flips stacks become deep (200-300bb).

Here Id like to hear your opinions about playing vs opponents that 3bet a lot preflop (say more than 10% of the times).
Since hand values are pretty close at omaha i find myself calling most of these 3bets (im 4betting about somehitng like 5% of the times, with a balanced range made of double suited hands typically; I also fold semitrashy hands, like medium-small pairs with nothing else or rainbow disconnected cards), calling a lot should be good since we can make use of our positional advantage postflop.

Do you guys agree with this?

What are the important things to look into opps strategy? (will they stack off with an overpair at a given stack size? will they double barrell? will they checkfold or checkraise when not cbetting? etc etc)
How light can we float the cbet? (against the worst opps I find myself floating any pair on many flops)
Should we always raise our good hands? what kind of strong hands can we just flat?
In particular I see many people willing to play passively with overpairs after the 3bet, is this stardard?

I know this won't answer your question strat wise but its something that should be said that will add a ton to your winrate:

Just quit the game if your not comfortable with playing a LAG in HU PLO with a deep stack. Or if you're not comfortable playing deep anyway. Its just not a good spot to play if your not very comfortable with HU play, especially HU deep stack play vs an aggro player where money is going to go in lighter and your lines with be adjusting to higher variance lines.

Again, I know its not advice that completely revolutionizes the way you think about PLO but its def something that should be said. Being aware of how the game type/player/stack sizes is going to effect your play and inherantly your winrate, you should be honest with yourself and consider the fact that you can find a much better game where you can maximize your winrate with less variance.

Again, this comes from someone that has played a TON of low limit HU PLO on stars. I got to a point where none of the other HU regs on stars would sit with me after some serious HU sessions where I'm sure I cost myself some value of not playing the weaker players because my ego got in the way and I wanted to prove to everyone that I was the best player at those games on stars and they should avoid me...not the other way around.

Ok, that got kind of long but, its something that needs to be said.

I'm gonna answer some other posts now but I'll try to get back to this when I feel like getting into more game theoryish stuff. If not, feel free to PM me here or on 2p2 if I forget, I'd be happy to talk about this, just would take too much time right now.

minraise any 4 cards OTB, allows u to own habitual 3bettors a little more imo and it puts them on tilt if u can outplay them after the flop for a good clip.

Start minraising and I'd be raising 90-100% of buttons.

Yeah I play almost every button, raising, this is not a problem. Whether raising to 2bb or 3bb or smthing in between (if u have the patience to type it out :-) is smthing I think I get, but its not what im concerned with. im more interested in post flop play.

as for the amount to raise the r many factors to consider, not just how much they 3bet. even if they 3bet a lot im inclined to raise to 3bb if:

- BB is also calling a lot
- stacks r deep
- BB likes to call pref/call flop and check fold at some point

in general being in position should allow me to win more times than BB postflop, so the larger the pot the better.

for instance, assuming postflop BB is ok, i will:
vs a BB calling 40%/3betting 20% raise to 3bb about 85% of my hands 80+bb deep.
vs a BB calling 20%/3betting 20% minraise 99% of my range also 150bb deep (folding trips for image)

if they want to play you OOP with a 3~5 to 1 stack to pot ratios going into the flop, let them. If you can't beat them under those conditions your problems are probably on teh flop.
