I feel safe and comfy with 100bi at micros. It can stifle growth but I think it's better to put in more volume instead of using that as an excuse. It's going to be different for everyone though. I was doing this last october I think:

I think it has something to do with kelly criterion or some risk of ruin models. lol math

I like messing around with this site:

Maybe I am nit but even if I am a proven consistent winner at msnl I would never feel comfortable playing with less than 100bi's.

Yo, I have a bankroll management article that I think anyone that wants to learn more about bankroll management should read. It takes data from evplusplus as well. It doesnt tell you how many BI you need but helps you decide how much BI you need yourself.

Student you should play 4-5 tables, by playing less tables you can work more on improving your game. You have more time to think about the hands, you should be trying to prove to yourself the right play all the time. Always challenge what you think also to find out what makes sense. Also take a lot of notes about players tendencies, what boards they ch/f on as pfr, what hands they check back etc. Also review or watch other players in hands, try to put them on a range and make a mental note when you're wrong and try to figure out why.
