Re: lost interest
I go through many slumps like that and I think it's extremely common. If u have no interest playing, then just don't play for a little while. If your income depends on it i guess that would be hard though. Just take a week or two, or even a month until you're ready to come back and grind some more. It almost always comes back. gl sir
also, you can try watching Rounders or recently i just watch a few episodes from 2 months 2 million, and I'm insta ready to play again

Re: lost interest
Breaks are never overrated imo
Also...I'd try something you "enjoy"....maybe lower stakes? maybe less tables? maybe higher stakes but less tables? maybe a new site? maybe a site that has a cool "reward" you want?

Re: lost interest
either you really lost interest or you have just played too much in the last days. Losing interest for something just happens ... if I think what i have tried out in my life so far and then lost interest ... that happens.
in second case just stop playing for the next two weeks and you will see that interest is going to come back fast

Re: lost interest
Try mixing up and playing diff games (sngs, mtts, cash, holdem, omaha, stud, etc.) , play some rush poker, take a break whatever you gotta do to get you back in the grind.

Re: lost interest
Congratulations on the Indian Casino heater. Winning is always a great way to become interested again, haha.
With regards to lost interest, as already stated breaks are a good thing in these types of situations. Realistically, short term loss of interest in the face of a long stretch is not completely bad.
I think that the time for concern would be if the lack of desire extends itself for a duration with which you are not able to cope. For example, if you play for a living and have weeks of lost interest. At this point you should do your best to rekindle your desire to play (there are some great suggestions in this thread already). If this does not work, then you probably need to start considering that some deeper issue could be the culprit (e.g., avoiding playing so as not to affect earlier “solid” results with a losing session).
Above all, we do not want to underestimate the importance of eliminating the lack of interest before we begin playing again. The reason for this is that the presence of any type of boredom is more likely to lead to modifying or flat out abandoning our game. Modifying our game so that we do not feel bored will ultimately erode our winrate.

Re: lost interest
the only way for me is to sit hudless, 1 tabling trying to own souls as hard as I can.
This means having a justification for every open/size/bet/etc, also planning ahead for possible future turn/river actions or raises before I act. This never fails to fire me up, its a great way to get intune with the GAME of poker, which is what we all fell in love with (or I assume we sicko's like me did). Not midlessly grinding clicking button/machine operating which we can all sometimes fall into the habit of, especially if you suddenly grind a huge amount of hands without building stamina first. Which could be the case here, I am assuming?

Re: lost interest
Playing fewer tables automatically helps u focus more and helps you play ur A game... also I think the more hours u put in and the more tables ur on, the more ur going to feel the grind that is poker
