Playing under pressure = Rika not playing that well

It got so bad for me that I started a real estate business. That way (since I'm a college drop out) I always have a plan B in case poker tanks. Thankfully poker is still going great for me, but just having that plan B probably add .5 bb/100 to my winrate u know.

Thanks for your concerns guys. So here is my update:

I always said I will never play with borrowed money. But a friend (the one that I ones taught from 10NL up to 100NL) said he still believes in me and he gave me some bucks saying I only have to pay it back if I win, otherwise I can keep it. So it wasn`t borrowed and I tried my best.
I agreed to some rules like having a stop-loss, not playing more than a specified number of hands a day, not more than 4 tables, not underrolled etc. We also agreed that I would send him an email in form of a diaryentry after every session.
I showed him a lot of hands and get a lot of sweatsessions in with him, so that after I lost 23,2 Stacks on 25NL (-5.77 PTB)........ I moved up to 50NL.
50NL ran okay, I left with about 4.5PTB and went on to 100NL where I am now.
I always played with at least 40buyins for the lower limit, so went to 100NL whith the money that was more than 2K, so that I always would have 40 stacks left on 50 NL and would step down with 2000.01 $

As agreed with my friend, after gaining a foothold into 100NL again I paid him back his money. It was earlier than he expected maybe a little bit too early as I was playing at the lower end of 100NL BR again after that.

Anyway, I play 100NL now with my own money having nearly a BR of 4000$ again.

My girlfriend decided to quit university, well not really, she applied for a seat in a new master study path and the university decided to not let her in. So she ended up with a bachelor instead of a master which frotunately does'nt do any matter in her work area and she will begin to work very soon. It`s clear why this is imporant, I won`t play for our existence then anymore but just for our extra money.

Ok, so long,

I will be update again..... when I crush 2/4...... next month ;-)

LOL Ok, so you were losing at NL25 (a lot imo). So HOW did you decide that you needed to move UP to NL50 and most importantly WHY did you do better when you did. ??? You then do so-so and move up again where you start banking—again please explain how you made this happen..

thanks

good work dream, always nice to see ppl make it through downswings. I'm sure many players have quit do to them even if they could end up beating the games.

Sorry I did not respond for that long.

So I cannot tell you exactly why poker works at the moment and didn`t on 25NL.
I decided to move from to 50NL because 25NL seems unbeatable. There was some curse over it.

I think the first and most important point is variance. This guy called variance is sooo big, I have no words for it.

A friend (the one who gave me money for poker, let`s call him Bob, because "the friend who gave me money" is so long) after watching me play said I play with too much FE involved in my game, which does not exist on 25NL. I had a positive red line on 1/2. That might be true but cannot be the reason I Iost, what was that, 23 stacks on 25NL.

So now as Im running good again, Bob told me that I was very tilted at that time. Well maybe this is true, but how tilted do I have to be to lose 5PTB at 25NL?
Is the edge, although mathematically it is pretty big, so vulnerable that you can be a losing player at 25NL while untilted beating 1/2?
There is so much Poker has in common with Chess. But in chess this is not true, if you have an elo of about 2250 you can be drunk, tired, everything and still beat a clubplayer while you have 5 minutes for your moves and he has hours.

However, pokerbuddies are supporting me pretty nice, helping me with HHs and everything.
I played 30K hands on 100NL with 5.05PTB and tried a shot at 200NL again. (Of course I dont say I beat 100NL for 5PTB now, because 30K hands is nothing, but Im on the way.)

Also 200NL works pretty good so far, I collected 20 stacks there already. 400NL has to wait, because I have to build a huge BR this time, I don`t want that to happen again.

Thanks a lot for your encouragement, guys.
I appreciate that very much.

This is also the reason why there is not as much money in chess. If there was no luck involved with poker, Im sure that there would be a lot less fish and a lot less money being played for. People would easily stop playing when they get beat every single session ( for some fish this may still be true :P)
