Yeah I think what you say is fair enough. I'm going to try to record a vid, submit it, and see what happens... It will be on PartyPoker

Well I've just had another terrible session so I'm going to take a weeks break and try to rejoin the human race.

Came back early from my self imposed exile. First session won $30 second all day session lost $150. Ran two pair into sets three times, ran two pair into a FD got it all in head, turn and villain hits his flush.
Had an over pair, bet preflop, flop turn and on river he bets half pot into me and hes rivered two pair. Had AK got it all in preflop, first time against TT, I lost, second time against QQ, I lost.
I just can't see how anyone makes money from this game. I've been studying and playing and working SOO hard on it and I just keep getting killed. I just don't know what to do. Maybe poker just isn't my game. Maybe I just am unlucky. Maybe I'm, just a tilt monkey. But after all this time I can't even beat $.10/$.25 poker, even though I'm subscribed to a training site and work hard on my game. I'm just in despair at it all and I might think about quitting for good.
Poker seems so easy for you guys, I watch the videos and make notes and try to adjust my play but after hours of playing 4 tables online, earning a small profit, suddenly a hand will come up and BOOM I'll lose a buy in or 2 and before long I've lost six buyins and I'm looking down the barrell of losing my bankroll. It just feels like it is impossible to make any money at all.

Sorry, I needed to get that out my system I think maybe I will have to quit this game.

Hey man it looks like i just wrote this post lol. Fact is, you probably aren't playing as good as you think tbh. You are probably leaking a lot of money in small pots, not playing aggressive enough maybe, or too aggressive in the bad spots. There seems to be a lot of variance involved in your story though, but what you need is probably to win consistently again to regain confidence. Maybe the answer for now is to drop down and play tight and solid poker against fishes at lower levels.
Also, get your play reviewed somehow, and try to improve your C game instead of your A game.

That's something very important I recently realised, even though we as micro stakes players are learning a lot of new concepts and advanced plays through videos and advices from pros, resulting in improving our best game a lot, we don't necessarily take the time to improve our worst game, the game we play when we don't think, the big mistakes we still make without noticing, and these greatly overweight the small edges we gain by making sophisticated plays on our weak opponents.

Our poker still isn't solid enough because we still make these big mistakes killing our winrate, and even though we think we are improving (which we are in theory), we're just extending the gap between our C game and our A game.

If you are stuck at your current stake, just take coaching imo. Prices are not that high since black friday. Might be a good investment.

Yeah I have major flaws in my game and I know I need to work on it. I just needed to put the rant out there as therapy... I think I just need to concentrate on making good decisions and making folds more often (I'm too much of a calling station in big pots - I guess I have commitment issues

I do reciprocal hand review sessions with other people with a track record of winning so I'm all for the peer angle, but I feel like if two guys are struggling they may end up doing each other more harm then good. What might be an option would be to jointly get coaching, then have sessions with each other discussing said coaching, but just straight talking to each other is for me not the route to success.......
Just wanted to say I took this advice very strictly the last few weeks, and it worked out perfectly!
