Default Sickest hand i ever lost. I feel sick inside..

I put him on flush draw but also could have guessed lower set, it could be either. So i thought check call river might be better to induce him to bet his missed draw. I guess he got there and it was really hiddden. Anyways, this is the biggest pot ive ever lost and afterwards it made me feel really sick inside. Anyone got hands that beat this?

I think its quite easy for observers of hand histories to sit back and say 'pfft thats like so standard dude' because they obv. have no emotional attachment to you or your money. The reason this hand frustrates you is entirely personal; this is the biggest pot you've ever lost and its fairly impossible for an observer to share in your pain in that. Whilst you are potentially sitting there thinking 'ah ****.. if I'd just won that hand I'd be up x amount for the month' an observer is just sitting there thinking 'whats the big deal? You both played it fine. Thats poker' because they are detached from the situation.

I think your betsizing is bad, you only need to bet slightly more on each street to be able to shove the river..
