Default 100nl 6max 4b pot

Villain is 18 18 after only 17 hands.

BB: $47.00
UTG: $100.00
MP: $144.80
CO: $115.00
Hero (BTN): $103.00
SB: $100.00

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is BTN with Q T
3 folds, Hero raises to $2.50, SB raises to $8, 1 fold, Hero raises to $21, SB calls $13

Flop: ($43.00) 9 5 5 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($43.00) 3 (2 players)
SB bets $24, Hero raises to $82 all in

No idea what villain range is at turn but I guess he could have some broadways that he tries the pot to take down with that dont have that much showddownEQ like at,aj, aq, kj, kq, kt, qj. These hands will fold vs my shove. He might call my shove with tt, jj and maybe qq, kk, aa. But I never have seen someone who calls a 4b oop with qq+ in a vacuum.

Is my play totally out of line?

Should Ive just folded preflop and wait for more info about villain?

I think your 4b is really optimistic and if I didn't want to fold it I think 3-bet is far better. He has to be 3-betting a ton here and still folding enough where this is a profitable 4b. As played that's perfect flop to c-bet and I'd just c-bet it. You're going to be getting a great price on a c-bet. As played looks fine but I'm not thrilled with shoving turn. You have some fold equity and there's a million dollars in the pot so it doesn't have to work too terribly often. What happens if you don't pickup a flush draw though are you just going to fold?

Always flat this PF, even VS a strongish range. BTN-SB this is just a super sweet hand to flat.

4bet blockers as bluffs and you'll a) be balanced and have nice frequencies b) have more bluffing success as they have less Ax nutted hands.

As played, I'd bet $13 on the flop and jam this particular turn. As played on the turn, don't hate it.

But I have 17 hands on the guy, I dont know how he plays postflop.. So just call and play "standard" postflop? Meaning, floating cbets and be aggro?

ugh I said 3-bet is far better I meant flat is far better ofc. This hand plays much better flatting than 4-betting and it's much better to 4-bet something like A2o than QTs. I would just fold it pre though.

Def flat pre.

I also would bet when checked to here (and as grog said given turn its a shove).

As played I don't really like a shove because I don't think you rep anything given the checkback turn. You probably get away with it, but the play just doesn't sit right with me?

Well, just play well in general. He doesn't know how you play either I'd assume!

Yeah I mean randomise the times you 4bet by the times you hold an A, K or maybe a Q if he's more out of line. This reduces the number of nutted hands he has to 5bet, increasing our 4bet bluff success %. It also ensures our bluff 4bets are truly random, as dictated by the deck.

I really dont like 4betting this hand. EVER EVER EVER too much bluff catching/semi bluffing value.

Agreed also if you don't feel comfortable flatting this that would mean 4 betting is probably not a good idea lol. It would mean his 3betting range is very strong.
