Default 200NL: too tight?!

Hey,

Hand History Posting and Rakeback

Haven't got much reads on villain. He only played a few orbits and didn't get out of line. His stats were of 32/11/1.5 over ~150 mostly mined hands.

I might raise this hand a lot preflop, but had been active and decided to check my BB.

ok so I hit top two on a very draw board and got minraised. I thought I had to 3bet for protection here. Now he shoves over me. I really thought the only hand I beat would be J9. Is this fold too tight? Or do these spots suck because I don't raise pre?

Any thoughts?

Meh, sucky spot. The problem is that a lot of his range consists of pair+draw type hands that he might minraise and then push all-in.

Board: Kh 9h Jc
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 42.475% 41.88% 00.59% 11610 164.00 { KcJh }
Hand 1: 57.525% 56.93% 00.59% 15782 164.00 { 99, AhTh, K9s, QTs, JhTh, J9s, QTo, J9o }

I just quickly stoved a range now (and this is a very tight range, I could easily add more flushdraws etc.), and we're clearly getting the odds to call here. Once you 3bet the flop, you have to call an all-in imo.

I always hate these spots as well but you see a lot of J9 and K9 here as well, also ofcourse some 99 and QT but i would not fold here for sure and get it in on this flop always.

i think you should fold because
your representing a strong hand and a passive fish is showing aggression in face of aggression
normally meaning essential nuts or next to nuts in his mind

i think you will see ak aa or the straight most often here

you also have him covered and will have a chance to still bust him
