Its b/c he is opening to 6 instead of 8. He rred someone to 26 over an open of 8, whereas he was getting rred to 26 over an open of 6, which does make a rather significant difference.

He says everyone from Hoboken sucks, and then mentions a few other locations where no one can possibly be good at poker, including: Seoul, West Virginia, any African nation, and possibly Vancouver.

i think you played a little mindlessly a few times in this vid to be honest. a couple of the plays you made vs that mouthbreather to your right on table 1 just cant be good.

Sweet, an aejones SSNL video. Great stuff throughout, excellent commentary in particular on which boards to double barrel, not double/triple, etc., etc. Everyone take notes. I hope SEABEAST gives you **** for pronouncing Melbourne wrong though.

Some specific thoughts/comments:

KJo at 1:30 - I've been looking to 3-bet UTG raisers more since they respond to it poorly, but my standard has still been to pick hands like 76s and just fold a hand like KJo. I like the 3-bet though, in a 1-2 game. What type of flops would you NOT c-bet if called preflop?

KQo at 8:00 - I normally just call and see a flop in the big blind vs a button raise because I'm OOP and KQo plays better in a raised pot than in a 3-bet pot. Even against a player who folds to 3-bets too often I'd still rather just see the flop and instead more add weaker hands to my 3-bet range.

I like the 5-bet shove, even though KQo plays terribly against a calling range of AQ+ 99+ (29.5% equity). This a great spot to shove light if he's 4-betting light since it shows a $9 profit if he folds 50% of the time, and I think 1-2 players tend to 4-bet light in such an obvious spot. Usually if I'm going to shove light I'd much rather have a hand like A4s or 65s, but the equity doesn't change a whole lot in this spot, since KQ plays well against hands like 99-JJ that are probably never folding.

88 at 12:00 - I shove here because hands like the one he showed up with are absolutely in his range. I agree that the check/min-raise is the scariest line he can take, but I'm just not folding a decent overpair on this board against this opponent with 60BBs. I do expect to be beaten to trips/boat or a weird straight plenty of the time, but I still think it's going to be +EV to get it in. It becomes much more interesting if we're 100BB deep; then do we call then min-raise and fold the river or do we just fold the turn?

AKo at 17:00 - I like the check on the flop, and obviously I like the delayed c-bet since the turn was perfect for it. But are you ever betting this turn if you brick the turn (i.e. don't pick up lots of outs) because both players checked the flop, or are you just going to c/f?

72s at 27:00 - Turn shove is beautiful despite results...

KTo at 28:00 - But I really hate this squeeze with KTo after everyone sees your 72s. I know it's a great squeeze spot in general, but your hand, image, and opponents make me hate it, so I'd just have folded. I think you're getting called a lot, and then on the flop, I wouldn't feel good about betting most flops I whiff, I wouldn't like getting it in on a K high flop, so I'd really only like getting it in on say a T high flop vs. Scotty. I think too much has to go right so I'd just fold, but if your image was in good shape I wouldn't mind a squeeze with almost ATC.

Random thought at 35:00 - lol I love players like Scotty. I'm going to be disappointed as hell if you don't double through him in the next 20 minutes.

65o at 36:00 - you said you were going to c-bet/call against the shortstacks with MPNK because your bet would get respect? That made no sense to me, wouldn't that be a reason to c-bet/fold?

I wish we could have seen you bust Scotty a couple times after setting him up for so long and getting owned by his monsters like 98o and 53o.

A couple of times in the vid you mention that you made money and he didn't, especially in relation to pots you play with your man $cottieD.
1 hand he holds KJ en you have JTo on a QJx flop and you say this, I wonder what you mean exactly.

I'm basically talking about expected value.

That is, if I maximize with my better made hands vs his range, and minimize losses, I "make" money in the long term. Being able to think like this, and not the shortsighted "sick, I got outdrawn!" which will lead to crazy emotional swings will make you a much better (and more mentally stable) poker player.

Anywayz, nice video, i liked the discusion about w$wsf% stat at the end of the video.
Ive been trying to get it up cause over 100k hands at 200NL it was about 39%, but ive been trying to fix it by being a bit more agressive and just in general try to make ppl fold more hands postflop, and its working out well, last months it has increased alot, its about 45% now while my basic stats are about 20/16/3,5 when it used to be 19/15/3.
