hello,

100bb cash game player here so plz take what i say with a grain of salt.

Pre is whatever imo, probably would do it like 10% of the time.

I do not understand why you assign him a range of strictly 99-JJ. While that may be weighted towards it, not thinking he can have <44-99> in his range at all surprises me. you assign him such a tight range for an unknown.

I think with this exact hand I like betting flop and betting a lot of turns (especially turns higher then T) as I can get a large portion of his lower pocket pair range and over card floats to fold, I don't expect to get raised that often off this hand and I have increased equity and set up a value shove for the times I bink.

Im expecting for the turn bet to work a majority of time in this spot, so I will be hesitant to shove low card rivers w/ out reads. However, I am def. shoving any K or A river versus anyone.

This whole ranges you gave dont match up to mine at all. also if you get to this spot with <AA, KK> and how you wouldnt be to happy about shoving river, wish I was this tight range minded in tournaments lol, but I'd be happy and pray for a call and its whatever if I lose.

I appreciate your input. My thoughts are that players should not at all be flatting opens from 30 bb stacks with "small pairs" (which I will take to mean 22-44) and we have blockers on board/in our hand from 55-88. Thus it is most likely he shows up with 99-JJ, and I included random other hands like AQ and AJs. To think that the villain would somehow have a wide range in this spot that he gets to river with seems crazy to me. What other hands were in your range for villain once we get to river?

Also, squeezing here 10% of the time seems like way too much. I doubt you will show a profit squeezing 30 bb opens 10% of the time from bb.

This should be the case but in reality I'd be careful to assigning what you think ranges should be to what they actually are since its a random and not a regular. I'd assume any pocket pair tens or lower is possible and should all be included.

And when I say 10% preflop, I just mean I am folding 9 out of 10 times and reserve this play for a rare instances when i am feeling frisky. We probably both agree this isn't a great spot preflop but it doesn't seem terrible either. Guess it probably is somewhere between 1-5% but as poker players we all like to throw out arbitrary numbers =).

This was a while ago but I think I'd only be betting the turn if I was shoving the river. At the time I felt like he'd have a bunch of pocket pairs that call 2 streets a lot but fold river but maybe that was a bit ambitious. He had 55 so he flopped a boat

I also think the 99-JJ/AQ range is too tight esp. since we can discount some of this since since he may a. 3-bet as you mentioned b.back-raise some of those hands vs. the squeeze. That's why I don't hate the triple-barrel so much.
