on a side note ( not sure if it goes here) i just bought PT holdem via leggopoker. payed the $55 etc. but i forgot what to do next???

You will get a reg code sent to the email you signed up to Leggo with. Till them you can use it for 5k hands I believe.

idk if its just me but im on a mac and thus can only use flash stream, and its VERY quiet, like i can't hear it on max volume

Yes the audio is a little quiet on this one. There is a volume bar at the bottom, make sure it is to the max.

How long should the vacuum database take for 400K hands? Mine was only a few seconds to complete which makes me think I did somthing wrong...

Is there any way to get this running for Cake Poker stuff through some converter?

It takes longer than that for me. You should probably ask this type of question on the HM site since they know way more about the technical side of this stuff than me.

I think there is a converter that takes cake HH and turns them into Stars HH on 2p2 somewhere. I am not really sure though.
