Good video. I enjoyed the discussion with the T9 hand early in the video where you hit the straight. I liked the adjustment that you would bet the turn with air or non showdown draws because he would bluff the river. If you were really confident in your read would you consider taking that same line in the video and shove over his river raise with air to get more money out of his bluffs? That would probably be high variance.

Even with that read I wouldn't take that line with T9. I think just shoving turn shows a higher EV. If he has 80% draws, and improves ~20% (he has pair outs too), thats 64% that he has air and bluffs. Also add some weird top pairs/8x type hands that he bet calls and we need a bluff shove to work a lot. It's close though and probably still +EV. He could also shove in the future and foil our plan. But with good equity draws we generally show a higher EV but just shoving turn than trying to induce some bluff to rebluff him.

With the more 'air' portion of our range a bluff shove makes sense since shoving turn isn't as good. But that's something you don't really plan for on the turn, but give up/take a card and then soul read and call/bluff shove/fold river.

In the A9hh hand at 18:05, You said you should've Isolated Papasteve insteed of just flatting his minraise UTG. I understand the fact that you're 175bb deep w/ the fish and that you want to isolate him because you're hand his strong vs his range + he's prolly gonna call w/ worse + you have position on him but don't you think that just flat calling like you did is better ? I meen, I think I would've flatted in this spot because I would like to induce multiway pot and give a chance to the other players acting behind to flat w/ suited connector like 56hh to KQhh that might lose a lot of money when we both hit the board. Don't you think there's more value in flatting than in isolated the fish considered the fact that the blinds didn't seem to be squeeze happy ?

Besides stack sizes, the major factor here is that

Outfloping the other callers is a rare event. Playing/winning a medium to large pot against the fish a common event. We make more money by playing lots of big pots against the bad player. He is check folding, or running some retarded bluff, or calling us down with a small pair so often here.

As an side note, consider the HU game with reversed blinds (bb = button) and 300bb. How many hands should you 3-bet? Against this type of player the correct answer is very high, like almost any playable hand. It's essentially raising the stakes, a 1/2 game plays like a 3/6 game.

I thkin the 88 fold on T35 flop is way too nit. I mean, ok, you`re not gonna be confortable against 2 barrels as u said, no metter what the turn is, but the thing is that the times he is gonna check the turning instead of barreling are gonna make the call flop worth it already. You`re gonna check back turn, and he`ll know we`re repping a sd value hand and he is repping not much, so he`ll just check river again and we`ll get to showdown (or we can even thin value bet river depending on what comes turn and river). I think that if you`re going to fold a flop like this, then fold pre. You don`t have implied odds to flop a set, and this is as good as a flop can get for you. So fold pre if you`re folding this flop.
