I was thinking of making up a power point but decided I was way too tired to do it and make it look all pretty and I've been asked by a member to list the things for him so I figure I will just post it here.

Some things that will help you after a long layoff from poker:

1) Cutting down on the number of tables you normally play. For example, if you play 6 normally, try playing 4 so you can focus a bit more as some of your decision making skills under time constraints and pressure may be a bit rusty.

2) You may want to play in a lower stake game than you normally play or just play in the games that you usually beat but on the lower spectrum. This is to help limit losses if in fact you do play very sloppy after coming back from breaks.

3) Study up on poker before jumping into the action. Either read some books, post in forums, watch videos or hire a coach for a sweat session

4) You may want to avoid playing super fancy and pulling high variance bluffs as your instincts may be a bit off and playing straightforward will help you get a feel for things and hone your senses before throwing a bunch of chips in the middle on a stone cold bluff.

5) Try and get back into the good habits you had before taking breaks. Examples may be checking people's 3bet % stats or trying to focus on why you are betting/checking, etc.

You said you would just get it in on the flop if he decides to CR bc he can have combodraws like AsJx.
Against his valuerange we are pretty much always crushed and against AsJx we are a 45-55 dog. If the best we could hope for is that he has AsJx I would probably just call one and fold turn or just fold the flop straight away if he is very likely to barrel and not too tricky.

I just watched the vid cause that doesnt seem to be something I would say as I was reading it I was like getting it in sounds bad lol.

In the vid I actually did say to call flop, turn, river. depending on what comes off obv. Spades droppin are bad and aces. When I said I would get it in, I wasnt meaning I was going to jam it in I was just referring to continuing to put money in the middle. If you keep listening I say I'd call it off for 100bbs. I left air out of his range as well which I didnt mention but could make up a decent portion of his cr range.

With a better read, if you know his air range is very small and his cr range is mostly AsXx, two pairs, sets then you could probably just fold flop or turn for sure. But readless I will pay him off for now
