how can you checkbehind with tptk vs a huge stationmonkey fish?
its not like you balance anything with that and there are far better hands to use as bluffcatchers here

I think he was talking about the hand at 16:30 top middle where you check bak AK on A92r in a 3bet pot v a huge station. With the pot at only 138 and 750 behind are you not hoping to get stacks in across 3 streets rather than play your hand as a bluff catcher?

I felt like his range was very wide, but I dont feel that he's going to be calling OOP w/o a pair, I think the only thing we're getting 3 streets of value from is Ax. I think with something like 9x or JJ is probably calling 2 streets and folding to river jam but more importantly I dont think he has a pair all that often with his range so to extract value from his TJ,JQ,KJ,KQ, 78s, etc. or whatever he has, I planned on checking back to either:

a) let him catch up and call off 2 streets which I think he would do whenever he pairs up
or
b) induce bluffs from some of his air to try and rep the ace himself.

Betting 3 streets obviously isnt bad by any means and still +EV but I think there is more value in checking back based on the range I put him on.
