All, I was under the impression there was a lot of crossover between Starcraft and poker. I have personally witnessed poker players grind dozens of hours of SC, but perhaps that was just people in my extended poker circle that love it. We hear your comments, and we will re-evaluate the SC landscape as an alternative to chess videos.

chess there are some crossovers with poker but Starcraft? it would be awesome if we could get Bertrand Grospellier as a guest to do a video he was a professional at this once upon a time. BTW mortal combat videos would be cool but if we are talking exclusively RTS can we get some Age of Empires or Stronghold on here... maybe some Total War?

I think it is refreshing to have a poker site offer more than just poker videos

I think there's certainly a few little groups of star craft players in the community, but I'd say more than 95% of the people I've spoken with in the community (and I've been very active for a good few years) have no association with the game. Even many of those who do enjoy starcraft I'd imagine would rather be paying for poker tuition which will earn them money. Maybe I'm old school but I see chess as a timeless game that attracts loads of poker players, and starcraft as a temporary hype that noone will care about in 3 years time.

Might be refreshing, but it defeats the point of target audiences and sites having a purpose if we're going to see random off topic videos consuming slots that people pay for. If leggo wants to add these as extra vids then obviously there's no problem, but when they replace relevant stuff we pay for, it gets a little silly imo.

I think if your looking to make a few videos that arent poker vids but poker players would find somewhat interesting then perhaps backgammon would be a better choice.

Actually I like starcraft videos. I never played the game before, but if I ever gonna play a game besides fifa and poker, it will be starcraft, because I always liked age of empires and other games like that when I was younger. One video for beginners would be cool though I guess, or maybe a link where I can find some help/explanation for beginners?

i think Total War is the ultimate game of strategists. You really need to think ahead to build your faction up and plan in advance how to deal with invading armies and planning attacks of your own. I use to be a master of Rome Total War and could conquer the known world with any faction on the hardest difficulty. Anyone who hasn't played that game is missing out badly

I was one of the first few who switched from starcraft to poker, right after elky and rekrul had been having a lot of success. I took it very seriously and went to the national finals twice, but really, this was almost 10 years ago that I quit playing that game. This, for me at least, is a little late. But if you did a commentary on a top korean progamer match in original starcraft (if people still even play it, I dunno) I'd be interested in seeing it.
