Absolutely awesome vid. Great info on targeting players by stats and why or why not to 3bet.

Thanks fellows, Yeah I suck balls at poker ...haha. No I almost didn't send it because I saw some of the mistakes you pointed out, but fell like it you fellow leggo junkies especially noobs might be able to learn from them. I also will defiantly work on reacting to donk bets and the many other points you pointed out.

The ten nine off three bet was simply for fold equity, he was opening twenty five percent from the cutoff and isolating the donk limp. I did check his opening range from the cutoff before I did so. I felt like I could squeeze and scoop all the dead money all day every day regardless of my hand.

Didn't raise the min bet with AA, because min bets donk bets are always bluffs at ten nl and I thought I would give him a turn card to catch a pair.

I was 4xing every position and three xing the button. I never knew you should be 4xing when isolating. Until this weekend when dougie dan pointed it out to me during a sweat.

It kinda sounds like I need to turn some of my focus from trying to win every big pot to maybe some other fundamental areas of post flop play.

Aside from those two hands I feel like I have a ton to work on. I really am grateful for you guys taking the time out of your busy schedules to help out a donk like me.

Thank you.. Thank you.. Thank you..

on a side note what should my three betting range for value be from the blinds? I have fooled around with out but decided on keeping it tighter because I hate playing big pots oop.

I got a PM asking about what to do when people donk and we have air. I will go into it briefly here and hopefully more in depth in the next video.

In general I would suggest having a polarized raising range when someone donks into you, air and "the nuts". I would use weaker TP, 2nd pair, 3rd pair, and A hi hands as bluff catchers. We don't need to balance vs bad players so it does not matter that our ranges are exploitable.

I guess you could bluff call with the nut low if you have a sick read he donks with air a ton and will continue to donk air on the turn. You could flat the flop with the intention of raising the turn and winning more money. You are of course risking more money and giving him an opportunity to actually hit something on the turn.

Something I notice about the range donks normally donk with, is that they dont contain flush draws to often. Its normally air, A hi, second pair, weak TP, and sometimes nut type hands (TPTK, trips, sets, and so on). This makes me think we could bluff call the flop with an uno card and post it note (if we have a sick read and w/e) and bluff when flush draws hit. I don't do this but was just thinking it could work since I rarely see flush draws when fish donk into me.

In closing

* Raise the nuts and air to prevent them from hitting something on the turn.

* Use weaker hands to bluff catch since the donking range is normally weak made hands and very weak draws (overcards).

* This advice is not absolute, please dont raise every time someone donks and just keep firing cause I said they have nothing. each player and situation is different.

I think your game is solid overall. The mistakes you made are very easy to correct.

I agree that you might be trying to win to many pots, and consequently hurting your win rate.

Thanks for being active in the forums and helping other members out. It's our pleasure to help you out any way we can.

Three betting from the blinds...

This depends on the player. I guess I will just give stats and then a general range of what I would 3 bet since its such a huge question.

44/22 fold to 3 bet of 40% (This 3 bet range could work on any donk that does nto fold to 3 bets 60/17 or 31/16 and so on.

AJo+
KJo+
TT+, maybe JJ+
I will not have an air range OOP vs this player.

For regish players that run around 22/18, steal of 35% and a fold to 3 bet of 60-70ish...

JJ+
AKo+
AJs, AQ, and QK if they dont 4 bet a lot. Calling is still fine since your hand will be stronger than their range in a single raised pot.
if they fold to 80% of 3 bets and / or play the flop in 3 bet pots very honestly you could 3 bet 22-55 (otherwise I fold those hands vs regs)
You can also 3 bet Q8s and other sooted hi card hands. They play better in 3 bet pots that 56s or something like that. (You make TP more often) Dont just randomly 3 bet sooted crap and post here when you get owned though. Have a read and a reason.

Hey, no problem Max.

Surprisingly a lot of fish fold to 60% or so of 3 bets, they will also play very honestly on the flop in 3 bet pots. VS this type of player I would add the Q8s type stuff, IP only. Make sure you have a read on their post flop 3 bet pot play though.

Nice video. Brave man showing his play

I think seeing mistakes is more educational then seeing perfect play and saying "I would have played like that".

Good vid. Free tip for Maximus: Don't play 10NL on Full Tilt. The rake is higher than normal.
