ha I don't know how I would have played the hand. It feels like a mistake to c/r call the flop. He will be able to play perfectly in position, call his non-nutted draws, jam his combo and nut draws (Jxdd), jam his overpairs.

I would probably surrender to the situation and c/f the turn. It feels very dirty to fold knowing that he can barrel draws and stuff, but when we check twice and the turn is a relative blank, he might choose to take a freecard with overcards and weaker draws. Villain is a strong HU player, I don't think we can play TT profitably. AJ / KJ would be better because we improve on good barrel cards, but it's still marginal.
If the turn would have been check/check and the river is as is, I might consider peeling, we probably need to be good 'only' about 30% of the time and this is a card he will bluff with a great part of his range (which is wide!).

If you are in his position would you like to squeeze KJ / AJ type hands? Against 2 effective 200bb stacks I would rather have some suited hands in my squeeze range and probably prefer flatting AJs and KJs over 3betting.

But calling flop and c/shoving turn seems like a decent line too. Although it can be risky if he picks up something on the turn and checks it back, or he simply gives up thinking we're gonna c/shove the turn so often when we bet/call the flop.
When he checks back turn I think overbetting river will show huge returns but the main profit from the line comes from him firing again on the turn. If you dont think he's going to do that then jamming the flop is def the way to go

About the JJ hand. You said it's a bad spot for her to stack off with 88 there. How would you play 88 if you were in her shoes?
What about 99-TT? Where do you draw the line to stack off (still talking about villain here)

Secondly, I guess you're just folding the JJ here if she raised that flop?

Biggetje, if I were her I would've raised the flop and rep the big overpair or sometimes even though it's weak, just fold. Calling just opens me too much for getting raised/bet out of the pot by one of the villains and I can get outdrawn real easily.

If for some reason I flatted the donkbet I would only backraise with QQ+ I think, but no special reason why I cut it off at QQ (Not because I had JJ here hehe)

I know this is an old-ish video but just to clarify, in her shoes w/ 88 you would be raise/folding if you do decide to raise?

Cool to see that old video's still get views

I would've raise/folded against me and usually also against the BB, because most players would just call my raise if they do have a draw.

Basically I think this is a spot where I'm much better off turning my hand into a bluff, than try and take it to showdown. Calling sets me wide open for bluffs or getting outdrawn by the ton of outs they probably have.

I also just watched this vid the first time and I loved it. You're rly doing a great job and I liked all of your vids so far.

I'm so happy you craised the river with AA because when I saw him checking back the turn, craising the river was the first thing that came to my mind and Im glad you did it. I had a good laugh when he wrote lol into the chat, ha.
