- In September of 2006, I signed up on PartyStakers for a free $50 to play on PartyPoker. I was a very slight winner at the microstakes limit tables for a while, moved to PokerStars after the UIGEA passed, and continued my run of unspectacular mediocrity there. In January I decided to give NL a try and donked a few buy-ins at the .01/.02 tables and really enjoyed it. At that point I decided to start taking it seriously and have since worked my way up to 200NL and a bankroll of over $4000. My current goals are to work this into an income of over $100,000 a year, live simply and use a significant portion of the extra money for investing so that by the time I hit retirement age I will have turned that $50 dollars from PartyStakers into at least one million.
