Only watched 15 mins or so before I couldn't take any more. Sorry for this, ordinary if I don't have any good to say I keep quiet. So please don't take this like an insult.
First, with QQ with less than 25bigs(effective) you 3b instead of shoving which is hooorible to do with a value hand. OOP this always is a shove.
Second. You flat w/ ATs oop vs the 3b from bu when you open co. I seriously puked on my keyboard at this point. How can you not shove this? Folding obv is absurd. But a flat is even worse..
How regs like you wins in todays games is beyond me.
You however seem like a really nice guy so GL in the future :)

you're wrong! both in a game theory sense (can 3b/fold that stack) and in a practical sense (it's the sunday million! good things can happen by giving him rope)

i think the ATs flat was pretty awesome (I talked about it a bit), we were on the bubble and its a super exploitable fold obviously. People are just way to hesitant to take flops IMO, I'm getting a great immediate price. Shoving may be better but I'm quite happy with my flat.

Just wanted to say I think this is a pretty cool series, im only at part 3 so far but its nice to see a whole sunday grind.
You should tape all your sundays and make a series again if u go deep some day :)

Dan recently went deep in a few MTT's, he got 11th in a $100 rebuy and 50th in the Sunday $500. Be on the look out for his new series!
Ok reached part 7 loved the series but the ATs flat is quite bad indeed, worked out this time flopping 2pair against toppair but usually you are going to burn money when calling there, just shove if u don't want to be exploitable or fold if you dont want to risk you're tourney life.
I do agree with the QQ small 3bet, specially in a tourney like the SM there's always people flatting with 87s or shoving AT

dont know what you expect me to say, I think you are wrong but you didn't provide any evidence for me to argue with! FWIW I would for sure bet that that Ivey would call there preflop.
realize there was something like 24.5k in the pot after he 3bets and its 8500 more to me... I could be a sizeable dog to win the pot preflop and calling could still be better than folding!
You're the instructor you should give a good reason why calling is better than shoving ;)
1. you're out of position which is never good. (1st reason he can exploit you)
2. you're correctly playing scared money, don't know how to phrase that properly but getting itm is worth passing up on some slightly chipEV spots. (2nd reason he can exploit you)
3.when you miss the flop, and most of the time you do, you lose the pot (you can obv bluff once in a while bla bla but mostly you're losing)
4.When you do hit 1 pair or a flushdraw and get a lot of action its not even a supergood situation.
5. Even if calling is good shoving must be better.
why do you think it is such a great spot for him to 3bet? it is because it is a bad spot for you to call.
Your reason for calling was because folding makes you exploitable, calling does not change that.
Ask aeron who you said is playing a fairly "loose game" what he thinks about calling this close to a bubble.
btw thanks for responding, overall i think this was a great series and this was the only hand i really disagree with.

yes its a disadvantage of course, but less bad bc of the shallow SPR
2. you're correctly playing scared money, don't know how to phrase that properly but getting itm is worth passing up on some slightly chipEV spots. (2nd reason he can exploit you)
I agree
3.when you miss the flop, and most of the time you do, you lose the pot (you can obv bluff once in a while bla bla but mostly you're losing)
I am putting in 8500 into a pot of 24500. I don't have to continue particularly often to making calling > folding.
4.When you do hit 1 pair or a flushdraw and get a lot of action its not even a supergood situation.
I'm thrilled to check shove a flush draw. Sometimes I do get stacked with 1 pair, but there are also times when he bet/folds air or he has a bigger ace and when just end up checking it down (where I get stacked if I jam)
5. Even if calling is good shoving must be better.
why do you think it is such a great spot for him to 3bet? it is because it is a bad spot for you to call.
it's a good spot to 3bet because it makes it tough to continue for me with almost any hand. Even with me calling ATs (which is well into my opening range) him 3bet bluffing with anything reasonable is showing an immeidiate profit.
Ok thnx for explaining your view in detail, if you find time i have another question about the video: at 2:30 you shove A4s or 12,5 bb 3 off the button (approaching the bubble)
Is this always a shove? also from UTG?
Does it depend on your opponents behind you and their stacksizes?
Would you shove lighter or tighter in the SM compared to a "reggy" tournament (100r or w/e)
I often fold this (would pretty much always fold if we had like 15bb) and am wondering if i'm missing some "mandatory" open shove spots.

-i think it's definitely +chipev but not always + $ev, we were far enough away from the money (130ish?) that I was ok with it.
-definitely depends on my opponents and stacksizes, and it's definitely more of a shove in the sunday million than the 100r
