I noticed you have like 8 moves running in Houdini. I would recommend going down to like 3-4 if you want to see multiple lines. If you want the best result I would recommend going down to only one line. The engine actually loses a lot of it’s speed when running those multiple lines. I think it would speed up your learning curve and the engine won't actually change it’s mind that often too. Hope this helps.
Having just one line would definitely be a big problem, however it's true that 8 is generally unnecessary. However sometimes I want to quickly see why some move isn't good, and often it's listed as the 5th-8th move or so. I dunno, maybe the ideal is 3-4 lines if it really affects speed in any serious way. Having just one line would be totally absurd though, since just because a line is Houdini's first, doesn't mean it's the one I'm most likely to investigate.
