4,20 ~ Table 3 you call T9o BB vs a BTN open. Flop comes KQxss witch gives u a gutshot and bdfd. What are your reasons for leading here? It just seems like a board were you wouldn't ever lead sth really good (obv could be wrong)? And what would be your plan if called? Also when thinking about your other options on the flop, both c/c and c/r, what do u think about those? |

i think those are both really bad, which is why i led. if i get called sometimes i'll bet the turn. i don't have a ton of value hands in my range, bottom set and top two and maybe top and bottom, but i can have super awesome draws that i'm not folding and i want to bet because check calling and check raising seem much worse. |

Ok ty. Could u explain why c/r and c/c is bad? |

ae.. what are you thoughts of playing back against very aggro players when you have a marginal holding on a semi wet board like when you had the 55's with the fd out there on the flop i think it was like q,7 x?
i have had some real trouble playing in those spots even when acting in position, is it always a muck or is there a reason to play back to a c bet every now and then against a guy who is just so aggressive post flop

i think CR is bad because you bloat the pot with a narrow value range (hard to have QQ and KK in your range after pre) and a range that consists of a lot of draws. however, it's real fucking hard to put money in if you get 3bet (and almost certainly bad, you can get it in with like 10% equity if you decide you should be 4betting or 6betting) and you'll get called by all pairs and some SDs with better showdown value than you and there will be few cards that make his range look weaker (like, there aren't really overcards).
i think CC is bad because you are identifying your hand as something with pretty low SD value and you might get barreled (again your range is not that protected), though i probably like CC better than CR. |

i like to just raise or 3bet and rarely call on boards i can rep stuff (i also then make my value range to get in wider). i also like making decisions early in hands. for instance i played a hand against a leggo pro who is very capable a while ago where bvb i had A8 on T83 or something and i called a raise on the flop and decided i was closing my eyes and calling on 100% of runouts (okay, it's really like 99%). i called down and was right (he may or may not have backdoored something, results are unimportant, the theme of the hand is just that you have to close your eyes and call sometimes against people who are capable-- specifically, you can "cap" your range by calling in a spot they expect you to always raise value hands, like 88 on T86 or something where they think they'll 3bet a set 100%, and if you have a bluff catcher call if you think they'll bluff.. also you might want to throw some slowplays in there if youi're lucky enough to make a decent pair or two or three of a kind). |

for a full ring 25 nl guy such as myself because the blinds arn't going around as often and im usually not playing deep stack tables aka 80-100 bb stacks, should i just learn pick better spots and not bluff against aggro barellers by raising their c bets or is worth taking a stand given a regular table dynamic at an upper micro game so they won't try it on all the time.
i understand where you coming from looking at it from a mid stake 6 max mindset of becoming a levelling machine is just the pinnacle of importance and i think you illistrated it very well in this vid. |

I noticed throughout the video you generally never consider turning the bottom of your flop calling range into a bluff. You have 55 on Qxx coment that you would consider calling on q34, do you think that CR some of these type hands is unreasonable given how difficult it will be to SD on so many runouts? Basically valuing this range the same as your gutters, bd flush draw type hands instead of going call, check decide and so on. Any comments appreciated. |

You kinda touched on this in your previous responses so no need to comment further, thx. |

HU is pretty much all but dead.. I think his 6max videos are much more relevant to todays games. |

I may make a HU video closer to the summer, but truthfully I like the 6m videos + a table or two of me playing HU and starting games, as those are more realistic. And that happens in almost all of my videos. |

i mean you don't really have to fuck with it too much, and if you do, make sure you'renot afraid to continueto bluff good runouts. bluff raise against guyswho c-bet too much and have too manyhandsin their range preflop. |

Folding kq in the squeezed pot on K78 J with the backdoor flush turning feels kind of dirty to me. If he jams for just over pot (I think that's what he had left) do you think you're more likely to call? |
 |
| aejones |
i mean i guess, and it feels beyond dirty, but... everything completes, i don't even know what he can be semi-bluffing with, and i don't even know what he can be pure bluffing with. it's not like he thinks i call the flop with 99 or something, i don't think. |
