holy crap...im excited!! this guy has one of the best mid stakes/range based approach mindsets i've ever seen when it comes to poker. i feel like we can all learn from aejones style as a poker player.
gonna watch it now.
(no aejones didnt pay me to say that) |

Your zoom videos are the nuts!
I need to do some of pausing and rewinding at times, but that only makes me think about the hands more and not just watch mindlessly.
Btw when people flat 5bets vs you 200bbish deep with AK, do you think it can sometimes be the case that someone (reg) just has incredibly tight 6bet get it in range. Or maybe without much history has no 6bet range at all? I guess that doesnt make sense in todays agro games where 5bet bluffs are happening frequently.
Sorry if my question is really dumb, I'm a huge fish in deep play and play _alot_ lower stakes. |

it seems as if u have started to play your hand a lot more and just applying more and more pressure any time u have blockers or a hand worth playing (which i guess is basically "i have AJ so he has x amount less combos of hands he can felt pre")
i guess this wasnt even a question, just my thoughts or what ive noticed, if anyone wants to add anything or w/e |

either they're being tight to stack off or they're slowplaying to keep me in with dominated stuff. really unlikely to be the latter so i think people are being tight to stack off. it's okay or correct against quite a few ppl at these games (I get it in behind pre more than anyone else probably, but i also win a lot without showdown by being prepared to put it in light), but against someone with a wide enough bluffing range protecting your equity or inducing a bluff from them in order to stick it in with ak or JJ or something is usually preferable. |

At least I am not the only one who thinks people play awful. Everyday at 500 and 200 zoom I see regs make the most awful plays imaginable. They must not be thinking at all. Although they do beat me in every pot so what do I know?? They beat you playing terrible in every pot so there must be some merit to their play. |

Well at least u play every hand perfect!
aejones, how come u never adjust your 3bet sizing to deeper stacksizes? and can we expect more zoom vids in the future or are you gambling in vegas this summer? |

i made two more zoom videos that are definitely better than the first two
i don't adjust 3-betting size because i am lazy, primarily, and secondarily because even though i think i should i dont' think it matters much because 1. i lower my oop 3-betting frequency anyways and 2. i'd rather keep the pots reasonable in position since im doing something with a such a wide range so i have to be ready for 4 and 5 betting. |

There's a difference between playing a hand bad and playing it awful. The guy who c/r Aaron 40 to 148 in a 3bet pot on KT9hh w/ AQo I would say that play is awful. If he raised to 90 I would say it was somewhat bad because of the board and his perceived range but definitely not terrible since he is giving himself good odds on a bluff and has some outs. The turn I don't really understand why Aaron thought it was awful. Guy has a PSB left and by shoving he can rep a fd and get called by two pair so I don't see what else he can do. |

agreed I think his turn shove is good and his flop sizing was bad (if he wants to scale it larger $125 AT MOST should do the trick).
From what I remember the guy had AhQx. Aejones said he doesnt cbet KT9hh that light --- understandable most people won't, but when you take the hands aejones is willing to stack off with and our opponents hand AhQ (nut flush draw blockers, str8 blockers) it makes sense why he did this. A large check-raise he is expecting aejones to make a decision on the flop (push/fold spot) but to his dismay aejones correctly waits for a turn card but he gets lucky and binks perfect card. This play wont make our opponent any $, but its definitely not as bad as it was made out to be. |

at 21:11 would you sometimes bet the river to to make it seem like your doing it for value say $70 in a pot of 154?
it seems like this would work especially when you time down a fair bit to make it seem like your in a "value decision" |

Leaving the cent made me laugh |

By the way if you misclick fold 1 in ~ 30k times he has a decently profitable shove with his entire range. |
