Craig plays two tables of $100 NL heads up on Full Tilt. Craig goes over his basic HU strategy for small stakes and comments on his play vs his opponent.
I streamed the vid and can't remember the time, but why do you call me with T9 on the T388A board when all you beat is a pure bluff and I hadn't showed down a pure bluff for the entire vid up to that point, as far as I can recall.
You're right in that you hadn't really bluffed yet, but the board/time seemed right for you to do so. I think I was correct in my assumption that you wouldn't value bet anything much less than an 8 on the river, so there aren't a ton of hands you can have.
I think he still was cbetting pretty frequently, I think I was just "running bad" in terms of a few times where I was looking for a cr he checked back. That being said, I think there is of course merit in experimenting with leading, it's not something I do too often but I would be okay with it here.
1) At 12 min I c/r you with a flopped 8 high flush, any reason to just flat there and c/r the turn, knowing that you are capable of firing 2nd barrels and that you don't have many hands that can continue after I c/r?
2) At 19 min, the simultaneous overbets, on table one I was just spewy preflop as I was all match, but should I be folding a ten there pretty easily? On table two, is ATo ok to defend against a 3bet, and should I have folded there as well on the river?
3) If you could remove table 2 from 22:30 to 24:30, that would be great. It was a tilt 3bet obv.
4) At 26:30 you c/r me with QTo and I have a seven, is the river a good value bet as it appears I have the best hand?
5) At 27:30 on table 1 you have QTs, did I misplay that at all, and why do you just flat with top pair and 2 backdoor draws?
6) Table 2 at 30:00, I took the turn line for value, and when you called I realized I was behind. I thought you would ship in a straight so I bluffed the river to fold out 2 pair, because it brought straights and backdoor flushes. Could you go into more detail as to why this isn't credible, and was it just unlucky you had a straight?
7) Table 1 you shove AK on the river, I bet/folded a T because I thought you could overbet a Q there if I checked and I would have to make a hero call, but you would only shove a Q. Should I check/call any size bet on the river?
8) About my playing AA, I did catch it two other times and 3bet, but since I was flatting so much and I realized part way in that it was a mistake, I decided to through some big hands into my flatting range for balance. Anything wrong with that?
I don't mean to make you rewatch the whole thing but maybe if you thin 2 or three of the questions are good you could give me some feedback and some other members might have thought on the other stuff. Thanks.
