Kesky Hey, Eric. A nice video, it was just unfortunate you got varience'd in two of the big pots.

One question about 3betting, since it was a prevalent subject in this vid.

If you have a bit fishy, loose passive player that calls a lot on your right, what kind of range would you use for 3betting his CO opens. I sometimes try to balance my strong hands with weaker holdings, but end up in a situation in which the fish peels the flop, and I have to risk a lot by firing further barrels. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I don't really understand the turn reraise all in with QJ against saros. I mean, what worse hand is he supposed to call with? Isn't calling a much better option as it permits him to fire the turn with his bluffs?
Darkmemento I think this video was terrible.

For example in the hand that you 3bet AJ. You say "i think you should fold or 3bet here" and don't bother to explain the pros/cons of either. Instead you go on to say and "flatting is totally fine too"
JNuey Plz tell me this vid works
PutMyRobeOnRITE Solid video Eric, thank you. I saw you 3-betting some sc'ers and taking the pot down pre-flop, I'd like your opinion if you hit a pair, since you never hit a strong pair in these spots.

button/cutoff/hijack opens 3x and you 3-bet 98s from the blind and the villain flats you. `100 bb effective.

1. flop: 9h 5c 4s... Do you c-bet, do you check and why?

2. flop 9h As 4c...C-bet, check and why?

It seems to me that a tough player can make you life hell in these spots by floating, bluff raising or just having flatted your raise with JJ or TT, and Punkety will flat you with QQ :-) what's your game plan in these situations?

-thank you.

Good question. When I have a loose passive fishy player on my right, I start three betting wider for value, usually with big card hands. KJ, A10, JQ etc. Often times the fish is actually calling with hands that I dominate and I can control the pot, outplay him in position. I feel I can usually get two streets at least when I flop top pair with a medium strength hand such as JQ. I would start calling his open raises with suited connectors rather than three bet. My really hate putting myself in spots where I have to barrel a player who doesn't like to fold so sometimes if the flop is very poor for my perceived range, I will give up after three betting.

Good examples. In ex 1, I mix up my play probably 50/50 between betting and checking and it's very player and game flow dependent and how my opponent views me at that specific time. Often times, I will cbet and get called by worse, ex 56-77-88 type hands and then we will check down the last two streets. It is a really tricky spot when you have your cbet raised in this example and I generally tend to give my opponents credit for a better hand and don't hate bet/folding.

Ex 2. I choose to bet this flop more often when I flop middle pair with a hand similar to 89s. Reason being it is so difficult to play when you check. You are playing a guessing game against your opponent with your hand essentially face up. I would much rather take a hand such as AJ and check call down against a lot of players. I also find most players don't play back a ton on A hi boards and generally play their hands very straightforwardly.

Hope those responses help. Keep the questions coming.
